Cousin to the Army Air Force A-11 and manufactured under the same (modified) specifications, U.S. Navy contracted watches featured the same sweeping hand movement with hacking function but with the added benefit of an illuminated dial and hands. Often worn by naval aviators and shipboard officers, this watch guided planes and ships with precision accuracy and durability. With specifications being adopted in 1942, these watches saw service across the globe throughout the duration of the war. They were tested and manufactured under parts number FSSC (Fleet Service Supply Center) R88-W-800 and designed to be water-resistant, accurate, and durable. We have meticulously copied the watches produced by Waltham Watch Company during the war years down to the last detail.
